About Us

Southeastern Engineering, Inc. (SEI) was founded in 1996 by Teresa Epple, PE, PTOE. Mrs. Epple’s background is in traffic and transportation serving public and private clients throughout the Atlanta region. Chad Epple, PE, brought his background in civil/site to expand the company in 2000. SEI’s strength is in its versatility and commitment to meeting clients expectations. The firm’s success comes from providing exceptional designs on time and within budget, coupled with compatible, cooperative partnerships forged with clients. SEI has an expanded range of services including traffic, transportation, environmental, and civil engineering, program and construction management, land surveying, landscape architecture, and 3D scanning.

SEI has established a reputation for maintaining excellence in project work and a strong commitment to clients. With numerous clients in the public and private sectors, projects include planned mixed-use developments, institutional, educational facilities, public transportation facilities, commercial/industrial complexes, public parks, recreational facilities, and aviation. Southeastern Engineering, Inc. is a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Equal Opportunity Division and a Female Business Enterprise (FBE) by the City of Atlanta.

After working several years in public and private traffic and transportation engineering positions, Teresa founded Traffic Engineering Solutions in 1996. Chad, whose experience includes civil engineering positions with other well-known engineering firms, formed SEI in 1999. In 2005, SEI’s husband-and-wife owners, Teresa and Chad Epple, merged their two successful companies – Traffic Engineering Solutions, Inc. (TES) and Southeastern Engineering, Inc. (SEI), respectively – under the Southeastern Engineering name to provide a full package of diversified engineering services to local, state, and federal agencies. Since then, SEI has established a reputation for maintaining project excellence and a strong commitment to clients. Today, Teresa is SEI’s President and majority owner and serves the firm as the principal traffic engineer, environmental services consultant and administrative operations manager. Chad as the Vice President serves the firm as the principal civil/transportation engineer, project manager and operations director.
