The History of SEI
After working several years in public and private traffic and transportation engineering positions, Teresa founded Traffic Engineering Solutions in 1996. Chad, whose experience includes civil engineering positions with other well-known engineering firms, formed SEI in 1999. In 2005, SEI’s husband-and-wife owners, Teresa and Chad Epple, merged their two successful companies – Traffic Engineering Solutions, Inc. (TES) and Southeastern Engineering, Inc. (SEI), respectively – under the Southeastern Engineering name to provide a full package of diversified engineering services to local, state and federal agencies. Since then, SEI has established a reputation for maintaining project excellence and a strong commitment to clients. Today, Teresa is SEI’s President and majority owner and serves the firm as the principal traffic engineer, environmental services consultant and administrative operations manager. Chad as the Vice President serves the firm as the principal civil/transportation engineer, project manager and operations director.
