The Georgia Section of ASHE awards two named scholarships to college students pursuing a degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or other transportation or construction related fields from a Georgia school. These scholarships would not be possible without the support of the ASHE and engineering community in the form of donations and the sponsorship and attendance at our ASHE social fundraisers held throughout the year. The Georgia Engineering Foundation (GEF), chartered in 1971, is dedicated to helping future engineers through philanthropic and educational endeavors related to engineering throughout Georgia. GEF is made up of 14 professional engineering societies and four associate member organizations. |

Institute of Transportation Engineers
The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is an international professional society with members in 80 countries. ITE is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and includes a worldwide network of almost 15,000 transportation engineers, planners, and others responsible for safe and efficient movement of people and goods on streets, highways, and transit systems. Since 1930, ITE has been providing transportation professionals with programs and resources for increased knowledge and advancement. |

Intelligent Transportation Society
ITS Georgia is a state Chapter of ITS America. ITS America is an organization that provides technical advice and assistance to the US DOT. ITS America and ITS Georgia are organizations of organizations (not individuals) that believe these technologies can significantly improve the performance of our transportation system, and that have a stake in the success of ITS. The ITS stakeholder groups are typically identified as transportation agencies (broad sense), transportation system users (private and commercial), ITS technology and service providers, and certain other agencies whose missions involve or are affected by the transportation system. |

Advancing Women in Transportation
The Chapter has the distinction of being the largest chapter in the southeast, and it continues to grow. The growth is a result of hard work from the membership and a slate of great programs. The most recent addition has been the establishment of a Mentor/Protégé program which truly contributes to the Chapter’s mission of advancing women in transportation. |
