SURVEY PARTY CHIEF 2

JOB DESCRIPTION
A Survey Crew Chief 2 leads the survey crew to accomplish the successful completion of each survey job through proper direction and time management. Must be self motivated individual that works well in a team oriented environment.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Exhibits excellent leadership through mentoring and solid decision making.
  • Excellent understanding of Boundary resolution and associated research.
  • Excellent understanding of Topographic Mapping.
  • Excellent Route Surveying knowledge.
  • Excellent Construction Layout skills
  • Excellent plan reading and interpretation.
  • Excellent in all related surveying instruments, data collectors and other peripheral surveying tools.
  • Excellent client skills understanding that everyone we meet may be a potential client.
  • Excellent communications and relationship building skills.
  • When required, work overtime, third shifts and out of town projecting a high level of flexibility.
  • Present yourselves as professionals at all times.
  • Complete understanding of SEI surveying policies and procedures.
  • Complete understanding of SEI safety policies and procedures
  • 100% error free data, eliminating the need to “Go back”
  • Excellent field sketches and notes.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently train and mentor subordinate crew members in correct SEI policy and procedures.
  • Ensure/Report unsafe work conditions.
  • Correct/report problems and/or violations of SEI policy and procedures
  • Ensure time each day has been accurately recorded for all crew members.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a good driving record, ability to pass a Security Background check, Excellent knowledge of various survey procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to eliminate “road blocks”.

SURVEY INSTRUMENT OPERATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION
An Instrument Operators primary responsibility is to support the Project Manager and team through efficient project production. Must be a self-motivated individual that works well in a team oriented environment.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Proficient understanding of Boundary resolution and associated research.
  • Proficient understanding of Topographic Mapping.
  • Proficient Route Surveying knowledge.
  • Proficient in all related surveying instruments, data collectors and other peripheral surveying tools.
  • Excellent client skills understanding that everyone we meet may be a potential client.
  • Excellent communications and relationship building skills.
  • When required, work overtime, third shifts and out of town projecting a high level of flexibility.
  • Present yourselves as professionals at all times.
  • A thorough understanding of SEI surveying policies and procedures.
  • Familiar with SEI safety policies and procedures.
  • Error free data, eliminating the need to “Go back”.
  • Keep your work truck stocked with the required tools at all times.
  • Field sketches and notes.
  • Anticipate how, when, where, Crew Chief needs assistance.
  • Accurately record time spent on each task each day.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Georgia Driver’s License with a good driving record and base knowledge of various survey procedures. Desire to gain additional knowledge and training.
