The SEI surveying task for this project involved as-built and topographic mapping of the existing Park & Ride Lot C at HJAIA. All pavement surfaces of the 26 acre site were contoured at elevation intervals of 0.2 feet, which multiplied the number of shots needed by at least four. Along with establishing accurate elevations throughout the site, SEI crews were tasked with locating all existing features within the parking lot, including signs, storm structures, fences, lights, utilities (above and below ground), and more. Throughout the time SEI crews were on site, the parking lot was in constant use and near capacity, which made the project challenging.
